Your annual membership is a vital part of the Oklahoma State Association of Pathologists (OSAP).

Your Membership provides:

Quarterly Newsletters – The OSAP Executive Board meets quarterly with representatives from our local Medicare carriers receiving both updates on billing questions as well as raising issues pertinent to the practice of pathology. We pass this information on to you in our newsletters along with pertinent National Medical News, ASCP/CAP issues, upcoming CME, and events you might be interested in.

Annual Scientific/Business Meeting – Your support for the OSAP assures the continued high quality of scientific programs for our annual meeting. Over 70 pathologists and dermatologists attended the Last  Meeting.

OUHSC Support – Your annual dues enabled the OSAP to contribute and establish The OSAP Endowed Professorship in the Department of Pathology. This position was created in July of this year when matching funds from the State Regents were approved and should be filled soon. The OSAP contributed $7,000 with the balance of $120,000 contributed by practicing pathologists throughout the state in a historic opportunity with matching funds from the OUHSC, Department of Pathology and the State Regents.

OSAP provides support for pathology resident participation in the ASCP/CAP Resident Forum and awards the annual Robert O’Neal scholarship to a second year medical student at Oklahoma University.
